| Recreation Series
Artist Statement I have only just begun this series that I've titled "Recreation." Although partly inspired by California's idyllic lifestyle, the title alludes to another meaning. We've all experienced recreation but what about "ReCreation?" The technical challenge in these new pieces is to paint on multiple panels-something I haven't done before-but also to be more reductive. This forces me to focus more on the actual act of painting. |
