Digital Abstraction Art
Some people are of the opinion that the computer has become an overly clever instrument in the hands of artists. With the advent of Photoshop and similar software, it does have the capacity to make the ordinary extraordinary. My approach to art-making on the computer is to think of it as just another tool. In this side project, I generally use a tactic of restraint although its easy to get carried away.
Some of the completed works started out as photographic images that were obtained from a variety of sources. All of them are transformed regardless of origin and all are the outcome of a personal aim to produce compelling computer generated art. I believe it’s a legitimate alternative to traditional canvas and paint.
Many of these images are available through my store.
